We have reached a new juncture in article marketing online, with the latest trend that has made internet marketing half-professional in approach. Various ways have been used over the years in the marketing of products online.

In the past the very specific business of writing technical articles was outsourced, which resulted in articles that were written in incorrect English rendering them unreadable. This technique is now losing its efficacy and stands to shake the foundations of the internet.

The Google bots are also using more clever ways in identifying them, which bids poorly on those purchasing them. Unlike the past, where having an online article provided adequate furtherance to your cause, the development of these bots has added a new dimension. Nevertheless, a large number of companies are continuously using this technique, and are slowly coming to terms with the loss in expected growth in their businesses. Now, nothing will be gained in harping on about something when the real requirement is for concise, accurate, balanced, and to the point reporting of facts. These new standards are unlikely to wither away in the near future.

With the advent of these bots, a new factor of quality control has been introduced. Many companies continue to outsource articles, and are slowly beginning to see the gradual decline in their results. The reason is that people are now seeking clarity, facts, accuracy, and balanced information content in the things they read. Not much is therefore to be gained in presenting hazy, unclear half-facts, as the bar on current standards has been raised. It is most likely that this trend will continue.

The secret method of the webmaster is also being challenged with improvements in search engine SEO techniques, and the ‘buzz’ created is also being unearthed for what it really is.

During the economic downturn there has been a noticeable decline in the writing world, predominantly in news reporting. With time, the news is increasingly being brought to their audiences through the internet. The news writing professionals have very little choice but to develop their news delivery accordingly. Not like the period of radio, television and newspaper advertising, these days businesses feel that customers are not noticing the paid advertisements, and look for genuine information. Certain professional writers work for businesses and are reassessing their information content for better mileage in furthering their objectives.

The use of ad words worked in the past, but users can easily share information with the growth in internet usage, and are able to share facts on different services and products, in a more potent manner than was possible. A lot of deceptive marketing gimmicks are brought out into the open, unable to pull through the business. As we forge ahead in attaining new accountability standards with the help of various think-tanks, groups, and forums; there is a tendency to prefer quality instead of volume. These trends are challenging the established business practices of the past.

It is safe to conclude that people are looking for quality information instead of quantity. Readers prefer to understand what they read. Besides that, they are attentive and will not refrain from boycotting or providing feedback in the reviews based on what is presented on the internet. In my opinion, as an article writer on technical issues and online promotions, these guideline cannot be ignored at any cost if you want your business to grow.

imacwallmount

Really awesome to see something like this. Here is a guy (Scott) who developed this cool invention that solves the desk space issue for an iMac user. This little mount attaches to the round opening in the “foot” of the iMac and has holes that most wall mounts will attach to so we can get the huge iMac screen off the desk and use it for more important stuff, like stacks and stacks of papers. :)

Read the article that tells all about this cool creation. Plus you can see the customer pictures he has posted on his site here.

Apple IMac Wall Mounting – VESA Mount Adapter Kit For Apple IMac 21.5″, 20″ and 17″ Models

Searching for a VESA adapter bracket to mount your iMac computer to a arm or wall mount, but have not been able to find one, you are not alone. Thousands of iMac users with 17, 20, and now, the new 21.5 inch models are left to figure out how to attach their computers to VESA mounting systems. With these iMac models, the stand is not removable. The iMac all-in-one computer was designed to be a portable system, much like a notebook computer allowing users to relocate in their home or office, or take it with them on their travels. The option for removing the stand (foot) and replacing it with a VESA bracket interface was not included with certain iMac models including: 2009 iMac 21.5 inch, Intel aluminum iMac 20 inch, Intel iMac 17 and 20 inch “white” models, iMac G5 w/iSight 17 and 20 inch, iMac G5 (2006 and later) 17 and 20 inch.

It is obvious that Apple, being in the technology creating business, would also be using technology in the creating process. I was amazed, well, really excited to see that the microphone located at the top of my iMac’s display was sitting behind a set of laser-cut, tiny holes that are arranged in sort of a flower pattern. Those were tiny… truthfully, I have not seen holes smaller than that on any other gadget I’ve ever seen.

Imagine my surprise when after starring at the tiny light on my iMac’s keyboard, trying to figure out how it is they managed to hide the LED behind the aluminum body that you do not see it unless it is ON.

The trick is that the tiny green LED is sitting behind another set of even tinier, a fraction of the thickness of a human hair, pin holes. Luckily my camera managed to focus close enough that I could take a photo of the tiny holes. The holes are visible on the photo when the light is ON but when it’s OFF you really need to get close to find them. While taking the photos I had to turn the light on to find it over and over again (it turns off after a couple of seconds). If you have this keyboard, take a look at it, it’s in the top-right corner of the keyboard.

Sweet technology! Looking forward what Apple will create next!

Till next time,

iMac-LED-backlit-display

Apple has provided us with a lot of high end pieces of technology with great style. And once again, iMac has something new to offer to the consumers.

The latest iMac display features a LED-backlit display which can either be 21.5 inches or 27 inches depending on your choice. Comparing the first iMac display which is just 15 inches, iMac has really come a long way. There are a lot of new features which makes the LED-backlit display better than anything else.

As the name suggests, LED-backlit has backlighting which gives full brightness immediately unlike other displays. No waiting time is needed for the full brightness of the display to be attained and this is the main advantage of the new iMac display. Most displays require a “warm up” period to be able to attain the maximum brightness but not the new iMac display.  LED-backlight also allows you to have a better control on the brightness of the screen. iMac-keyboard

Getting used to this tiny keyboard is really something… Not having the number key pad on the right and all the extra keys that go with that section is hard. Slowly though, I am getting used to it.

While doing some coding the last couple days, I ran into a few functions/keys I needed that just were not there. Of course, thanks to Google all I had to do is a quick search and I had the answer.

Line Jump Keyboard Shortcut

One thing I needed to do is as I open various websites in the browser I needed to quickly move the cursor from the end of the URL in the address field to the start of the URL. On a regular keyboard on PC anyway (I wrote about my switch here), you would just click Shift+Home or Shift+End to get to the end of the line. To do this on the tiny iMac keyboard all you do is hold down Command and use the arrow keys – left to jump to the beginning of the line and right to jump to the end. Simple… But I have noticed in some cases this doesn’t work and found out that in some of those cases you need to hold down the Fn and then the arrows.

iMac-keyboard-line-jump

Also to highlight the whole line you do the same except also hold down the Shift key, this will highlight the line from the starting point to either the start of the line or the end depending on whether you hit left or right from the current position.

I’ll post more keyboard shortcuts soon.

myiMac-491

Dear Readers,

Finally, the long wait is over, I am now a Mac… i mean an iMac. :)

Went out to BestBuy on Saturday and got me this 27″ iMac. It was very exciting to finally switch over to Mac because my PC was getting more and more irritating.

I am a web designer and a graphic designer, so running Photoshop and Illustrator while having Dreamweaver open was a nightmare. I am looking forward to working on my new iMac. Did I mention I finally cleaned up my desk? Ya, it looks nice and neat now.

The switch over to a 27-inch screen really makes a big difference from my 17-inch PC laptop. And the tiny keyboard is something to get used to but it looks really cool.

imacmouse

Oh yeah, have you seen the new Apple’s Multi-Touch mouse that the iMac comes with? Read about it here. It is also really cool.

Ok, time to get back to work.

Until next time…
